Hello to you all and Happy September!!
Really? Where did the summer go and can you believe it’s already September? Incredible. To say it’s been busy around here would be an understatement but it’s all “good busy”. Life with two kids is amazing. Harrison (2 years old today!) and Sammy (4 months old) are rocking my world and I love every minute with them. I am so grateful that I am able to work from home and be a full time mommy to my two fellas. They are lil‘ heart breakers let me tell you 😉
Wedding season is a blast this year with some great new opportunities including a wedding in Manhattan, a fun batch of engagement sessions with this year’s clients, and a family portrait session or two thrown in for good measure. I love this time of year!
I just wanted to post and say “hey!” seeing as it has been so busy lately. As many of you know, I am a one-woman-show. I manage all of my business affairs from the comforts of my home office and do all of my own post production. I’m a busy little bee right now! I’m putting client storefronts up before blog posts so they can see their events in a timely manner. I will update our images as soon as possible so you all can see the fun shoots we have been doing this summer and sharing new images both on the blog and my website.
And here’s a quick plug…if you are a photographer in the Connecticut area, come check out the CLASS Meeting (hosted by Collages.net) on October 6 at the Savin Rock Roasting Company in Stratford, Connecticut. I am going to be the speaker for the evening sharing my presentation titled, “Fortune Cookie Mantras”. Here’s a quick write up of what I’ll be speaking about:
My biggest motivators in business and life have been inspirational readings, motivational podcasts, daily affirmations and positive thinking. Having a positive attitude both in life and in business have kept me sane in some of the most challenging scenarios. Five poignant fortunes are tattered and displayed above my kitchen sink. I have held onto them as motivation and would like to share the lessons I have learned to find life balance as a full-time-stay-at-home-self-employed-mom-wife-businesswoman-artist.
Hope you all are having a great summer and are recovering from the “Tropical Storm Irene” unscathed. Enjoy this amazing weather and get out there and enjoy the approaching autumn season. My favorite time of year!
